My babies- Annie and King

I know that it looks like Annie, in the plastic bag above, is trying to end it all, but rest assured, she's not! This is one of her favorite things in the world. She likes to sit halfway in the bag and bat at our hands as we drag them across the bag. She also likes to try and attack King from this position.

Chaos on the homefront continued...

I know I haven't updated my journey with my two cats, Annie and King in a while, so here it goes. My husband and I recently moved into a new, much more spacious place. Let me tell you, this really helped! Both King and Annie have acclimated to their new environment, both finding new snuggle spots to call their own. Since the move, things have been much more peaceful between the two of them. There will always be small tiffs, but who doesn't experience that with their "roommate?" Now all I have to do is get Annie to stop obsessing over ice cubes ( I know there's much worse addictions!) and tear King away from his window long enough to eat!

Looking for a home:

Blueberry is a 5 year old female American Bulldog who is sweet tempered with people and loves children. She is a dog who prefers to be a single pet in a household. She prefers not to be with smaller dogs, cats or other animals. She weighs 80 pounds, is stocky and lovable. She needs to be at a home where she will have plenty of affection and play. She has gray eyes and her coat is white with brown patches. She is the perfect companion and a great guard for your home. She needs to be an indoor pet. She is currently on California Natural Lamb formula. She is spayed. No health problems recorded. No papers. She needs a responsible owner who will allow visitation from previous owner.

Chaos on the homefront

I don't pretend to know everything about animals. I'm still learning too. My husband and I recently took in our second cat, affectionately called alley cat, real name: King. Found living under one of my client's houses, I feverishly searched for a non-kill shelter to take this sweet little boy in. I secretly wanted to snatch him up and cuddle with him like a newborn baby, but I wasn't sure how well that would go over with my husband and my other cat, Annie. With a three month waiting list at all local shelters, we decided to take the plunge with this slatternly, heartwarming baby boy.

After being separated for over a month, the two cats finally met. There was a lot of hissing and a couple of right hooks that first night. Needless to say, this continued for months after the first initial meeting. My husband and I have tried everything and the cats seem to be ok when we are not home. Its when we get home that the bloodshed ensues. I've gotten lots of great advice from clients and friends, but I'd like to know if anyone has any other ides. I'll keep you updated with pictures and videos.

In Loving Memory of...

I would like to say a very warm, heartfelt goodbye to some of the beloved pets we have lost this year. Most recently we lost Kelsey, a dear friend to me and a wonderful dog. Kelsey could always put a smile on my face, as soon as I walked into the door. She loved getting her biscuits and having her back and belly scratched. Kelsey had two great sisters, Lilly the cat and Rosie the terrier. She was such a loving, sweet girl and I thank the Larosa family for inviting me into her life.

We also lost Coco, a very vibrant, sweet Rottweiler. Coco was a gentle giant, who I had a very close bond with. She had such strikingly beautiful eyes- one brown, one blue, that could captivate you with one look.

You will both be missed greatly and my condolences go out to both families.
