Chaos on the homefront
I don't pretend to know everything about animals. I'm still learning too. My husband and I recently took in our second cat, affectionately called alley cat, real name: King. Found living under one of my client's houses, I feverishly searched for a non-kill shelter to take this sweet little boy in. I secretly wanted to snatch him up and cuddle with him like a newborn baby, but I wasn't sure how well that would go over with my husband and my other cat, Annie. With a three month waiting list at all local shelters, we decided to take the plunge with this slatternly, heartwarming baby boy.
After being separated for over a month, the two cats finally met. There was a lot of hissing and a couple of right hooks that first night. Needless to say, this continued for months after the first initial meeting. My husband and I have tried everything and the cats seem to be ok when we are not home. Its when we get home that the bloodshed ensues. I've gotten lots of great advice from clients and friends, but I'd like to know if anyone has any other ides. I'll keep you updated with pictures and videos.
